How to Play: Ocean Fishing Math Game
1️⃣ Set Up Your Underwater Scene
- Place the numbered fish, magnetic translucent shapes, and ocean animal models into large IKEA Trofast bin.
- Place the light source in the small Trofast bin.
- Place the Multi-Use Insert and Small Light Table Insert on top.
- Lay the Printable Fishing Game Insert over the multi-use insert to create an ocean backdrop.
2️⃣ Start Fishing!
- Each child takes a turn using a magnetic fishing rod to “catch” a fish or item from a hole.
- When they pull out a fish, check the number on it and help them add it to their score.
- When they pull out the translucent chips, keep it aside for counting later.
3️⃣ Keep Score & Compete
- Players continue fishing until all pieces are caught.
- Add up the numbers on each child’s fish and chips to find the total score.
- 🎉 The player with the highest number wins the ocean math challenge!

How to Play: Light Table Counting Game
1️⃣ Set Up the Scene
- Put the light into the trofast bin.
- Put the Light Table Insert on Trofast bin into your IKEA Flisat sensory table.
- Turn on the light to illuminate the space.
- Write number 1-10 on the insert.
2️⃣ Start Counting!
- Ask your child to place the correct number of translucent cubes on or next to each number card.
- Encourage counting out loud: “One… two… three…”
3️⃣ Add Color Sorting or Patterns
- Sort blocks by color while counting.
